From the artist:
"It was the year 1997 when I first got introduced to 'The Tragically Hip'. Still living in Munich, Germany, my then girlfriend sent me a tape from Canada over the Atlantic Ocean, titled "Live Between Us". Her advice: "the more you listen to it the more it will grow on you!"
And yes, she was right! Having not heard of 'The Hip' back then, I got slowly mesmerized by their magic guitar riffs, lyrics, harmonies and compositions.
Little did I know that 20 years later, I would be mentioned in an interview with Rob Baker about life after 'The Tragically Hip'!
Rob did an interview with Jane Stevenson of Sun Media the day before news of Gord Downie's death made headlines. She used that interview for two stories. Click here to read the feature story in the Sunday, October 22nd edition of the Toronto Sun. The story was also carried in other Sun Media publications.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Rob and his wife, Leslie Galbraith, for their continued support!
The guitar stand is finished with different shades of Linseed oil paint, natural oil and leaf gold.
Thank you to the TETT Centre for providing the space for the photoshoot!"
