Etched Sterling Bracelet with Leaves and Fish by Andrew Goss

Etched sterling bracelet, 2024, is a one of a kind medium width wavy bracelet. Cuff measures 6.5" around with a 1" opening.

To create the etched design on the sterling silver, Andrew applied a resist of acrylic floor wax and india ink over a drawn pattern which was done with a Sharpie. When the acrylic wax was dry, he used a scriber to draw through the semi-transparent resist. The silver was then suspended for several hours in an etchant to etch out the lines. He then removed the resist, shaped the rings, thickened the edges, wire brushed the surface to accentuate the pattern and give more texture, blackened the surfaced, and then polished the final form.
